Our programs are designed to support Black boys through every stage of development, providing mentorship, education, leadership opportunities, and life skills that prepare them for future success.

A Journey of Growth and Opportunity

At Guide Hymn, we understand that every stage of life presents unique opportunities and challenges. Our programs are intentionally designed to meet young men where they are, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, and prepare for a successful future.

Foundation (8–12) → Development (13–16) → Preparation (17–21)

AGES 8–12

Foundation

The Foundation stage focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and positive early experiences that encourage personal growth and self-belief.

  • Confidence Building

    Helping boys develop self-confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset.

  • Reading and Curiosity Programs

    Encouraging learning, creativity, and a lifelong love of discovery.

  • Role Model Exposure

    Introducing participants to positive examples of leadership, character, and success.

AGES 13–16

Development

As participants enter their teenage years, the Development stage focuses on leadership, mentorship, emotional growth, and future-focused learning opportunities.

  • Mentorship Circles

    Building supportive relationships through mentor-guided discussions.

  • Leadership Workshops

    Developing confidence, communication, and leadership skills.

  • STEM Introduction

    Exploring opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

  • Emotional Intelligence Training

    Helping participants build self-awareness, healthy relationships, and emotional resilience.

AGES 17–21

Preparation

The Preparation stage equips young men with the knowledge, mentorship, and practical skills needed to transition confidently into adulthood, higher education, and professional careers.

  • College Readiness

    Preparing participants for educational opportunities and academic success.

  • Career Mentorship

    Connecting young adults with professionals who provide guidance and career insights.

  • Financial Literacy

    Teaching budgeting, money management, and financial responsibility.

  • Networking with Professionals

    Building meaningful connections that open doors to future opportunities.
