Guide Hymn is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering Black boys growing up in single-parent households.
Our work centers on providing consistent mentorship, emotional support, and access to educational resources and opportunities that help them grow into confident, capable, and purpose-driven young Black men.
We recognize the strength and resilience within single-parent families. At the same time, we aim to bridge gaps by offering additional support systems that reinforce stability, guidance, and positive development.
To guide, empower, and uplift young Black males raised by single mothers through mentorship, education, life skills, and service-based initiatives that foster personal growth, purpose, and positive social impact, helping them grow into confident, responsible, and successful men.
A world where every Black boy—regardless of household structure—has the support, guidance, and opportunities needed to thrive.
We serve Black boys who are being raised in single-mother households, providing them with additional layers of support that complement the love and dedication they already receive at home.
“Every boy deserves guidance. Every dream deserves a path.”
We connect youth with consistent, positive mentors who offer guidance, accountability, and encouragement.
Tutoring, study sessions, and educational workshops designed to strengthen academic performance and confidence.
Safe spaces where boys can express themselves, build emotional intelligence, and develop healthy coping skills.
Programs that help participants explore identity, build self-worth, and develop leadership skills.
Workshops on financial literacy, communication, goal setting, and decision-making.
Group activities that foster connection, belonging, and peer support.
Many Black boys in single-mother households grow up with immense strength and resilience. However, access to consistent mentorship, expanded networks, and structured opportunities can make a critical difference in their long-term success.
Our work is not about replacing what’s missing—it’s about strengthening what’s already there and ensuring every Black boy has a full circle of support.
Be a steady presence and positive influence in a young person’s life.
Help us create stronger futures and brighter opportunities for Black boys through mentorship, education, and community support.
